Rhode Island gardener and cook, trying to write about growing good things to eat at My Little Corner of Rhode Island. Sometimes pictures of my grandson get in the way...
She’s having SO much fun. I love to do this, but outgrew my purple boots!! Actually my favorite is run through the leaves. It’s great to see her exploring and investigating.
Ahhhhhh I remember those days my youngest son used to have a pair of yellow boots and wore them everywhere and his robin hood outfit complete with cape.
My son had a pair of cheap cowboy boots… they got ‘lost’ in a move.
He’s 20, and still remembers them. And the Superman cape that he wore to Kindergarten.
She looks adorable! I’d feel more secure about the weather if this were the end of February. As it is, I keep waiting for Old Man Winter to wake up and make up for lost time.
Amen to that. The hammer will fall, and hard.
But, if we have too many more days like today – almost 60 – I’m planting peas. What’s the worst that could happen? Replanting in April? I was gonna do that anyway…
Marie, I am just amazed at the incredible gift you have been given! The days you spend with this beautiful child will be some of your most precious treasures……but I think you already know that.
Puddle-stomping should be part of everyone’s life…we’d all be much healthier.
She put on my tall boots this morning, and announced that I could wear hers…right before she tumbled.
Love the purple boots!
So does SHE…try getting her out of them!
I still love to do this … hope she never forgets how good it feels!
Grandmom got a good bit of splashing in, too!
Can’t wait for summer, when she can do it barefoot…

She was…we are having a ball playing outside!
The world through a child’s eyes….how wonderful!!
That moment of discovery…that’s the best.

Ha, looks fun!
You should try it! Changes your outlook on life!

Thanks. She’s a great little photo prop, too…
I love the purple gumboots, too cute, as is the one in them. Amazing how much fun a puddle can be to little ones.
This child is as ‘purple’ as my oldest daughter was…EVERYTHING was purple for the first 8 years of her life!
I firmly believe that we should all stomp in puddles. It’s great for the atittude!
I took a moment out of the office today to splash in a few puddles myself! Looks like she has a great Grandma
It’s one of the best forms of therapy I can think of…
Thanks for the comment!
Who needs snow when you have fabulous purple boots and a nice big puddle or two! It’s all relative, especially to a two-year-old, clearly.
She got up at 5:30 this morning, and by 6 was telling me she was ready to “run round in the grass”…
It’s quite a change!
I still sneak the odd stomp in a puddle. Simply irrresistable. Just wish I had some purple wellies!
