Just a couple of bird shots today.
Our snow is rapidly disappearing, but I’ll have a few more fun photos tomorrow.
Don’t hold me to that timeline, though…we’re horribly behind around here!

Very patriotic – red, white and blue. Hope the white holds off for a while.
3 more inches on the ground this morning…
The birds will really be appreciating those feeders just now! What kind of bird is that in the second photo?
That’s a blue jay. They’re bullies, pushing the smaller birds off the feeders, but they’re so pretty…
When do you get spring? We should start to see more and more spring like weather here every day and by the second week of March it should feel like spring for sure.

With any luck, we’ll start getting reliable spring weather in mid-April. I’ve seen years where the trees didn’t leaf-out until the second week of May, though…
Good your feeders are filled and accessible. The little guys are sure to be hungry until the snow is gone. And you picked 2 really nice ones to share today. Our resident cardinal returned a couple weeks ago. He hasn’t started whistling yet, though. It’s still a bit early to be setting up territories — or maybe he has laryngitis.
Their food wasn’t accessable – the cans were buried under a drift and frozen! We just picked-up extra when we did errands, and put all of it out.
Yay birds! I am woefully behind, too.
I’ve stopped trying to catch up…I read what I can, and move on.
Eventually, I’ll get the laundry done, too
I love the peek of red
He was a bonus – I thought I’d missed him!
LOve the red bird. So good that you put out food for them, I imagine they would find it hard otherwise.
Once the ground is frozen, they have trouble finding food…and they’re so much fun to watch
Very colorful.
Thanks, Robin!
