Wildlife Wednesday: A Splash of Red and Blue

Cardinal at the Feeder

Just a couple of bird shots today.

Blue Jay in the Snow

Our snow is rapidly disappearing, but I’ll have a few more fun photos tomorrow.

Don’t hold me to that timeline, though…we’re horribly behind around here!

  1. Very patriotic – red, white and blue. Hope the white holds off for a while. :)

The birds will really be appreciating those feeders just now! What kind of bird is that in the second photo?

When do you get spring? We should start to see more and more spring like weather here every day and by the second week of March it should feel like spring for sure.

Good your feeders are filled and accessible. The little guys are sure to be hungry until the snow is gone. And you picked 2 really nice ones to share today. Our resident cardinal returned a couple weeks ago. He hasn’t started whistling yet, though. It’s still a bit early to be setting up territories — or maybe he has laryngitis. :)

Yay birds! I am woefully behind, too.

I love the peek of red :-)

  7. Leanne Cole says:

LOve the red bird. So good that you put out food for them, I imagine they would find it hard otherwise.
