We’ve had every kind of weather imaginable over the last few days – sun, rain, snow, sleet, 70mph winds. Okay, no thunderstorms, but close enough. Luckily, we did miss out on the last major snowstorm, but 3 inches of rain just runs off frozen ground. Lots of flooded basements in the area! (Not us! Thanks, sump-pump!)

This is the reward for surviving winter. The daffodils have sprouted.

The end is in sight.

  1. Thanks for the reminder that spring is not too far away. Today of all days, I needed that gentle nudge away from my gloomy, dark thoughts and feelings. Your words always paint a vivid picture that can be a blessing!!

  2. Thanks for letting us know that you escaped the worst of this last storm. I thought it looked that way but can never be sure when looking at the national maps.

My tiny jonquils are coming up through the dead limbs of the lantanas. I need to cut them back but the weather has been so bad that I’ve not been able to get out to do it. Today is lovely and I’m just now home from Neighborhood Free Breakfast and Scrapbooking. Must start laundry.
