It finally stopped raining.

Now, it’s foggy.

Some days, it burns off, or is swept away by the wind, and we wind up with a nice afternoon.

Most days, it doesn’t.

Which doesn’t exactly make for great gardening weather.

But, it can make for some great pictures…

Wishing you all a happy, sunny Memorial Day!

  1. Yes, the photos are fantastic. We are now starting to get fog every morning, but here it usually means that when it lifts we will be delighted with a glorious day. I hope you get lots of those. Isn’t it a bit late in the year for fog there?

    • I’m right on the coast – well, about a mile from the water – so fog is possible any time of year. This isn’t unheard-of, but it’s worse than usual. It’s nearly June, and I don’t have my garden in yet… 😦

  2. Lovely photos. I especially like the one with the spider’s web.

I enjoy fog, but too much of anything is, well, too much. I hope the sun starts shining full on for you soon.

    • Thanks, Robin. I love morning fog, but when it hangs around all day, it has over-stayed its welcome.

I’m totally jealous of your paddle-boat, by the way! Not that my pond is big enough for one, but it’s such a cool thing!

    • Yeah, but just remember – I no longer have a day job. It’s just me and the gardens.

And YOU can grow watermelons. I can’t… Most summers, even the pro’s can’t get melons to ripen up here.

Might be the one thing I miss about Southern summers…
