The Magic Leaf

This is not a shot from yesterday. It was rainy/cloudy/windy all day on Friday.

Thursday was glorious, though… Bright, cool sunshine, perfect Autumn colors, and…

What’s that hanging above the pumpkin?

Let’s try another angle…

Why, it’s a leaf! Hanging there, in mid-air…

Is it stuck on the power line?

Or something more in keeping with the season?

Can you see the spider web?

The 4 O’Clock:

Not that it would matter what time it was taken yesterday. With all the cloud cover, it looked like this for most of the day…

  1. Stupid, stupid spiders! Just when you think it’s safe …
That same cloud hung over our heads, too, for the past 3 days. It is breaking up now, though, and we’re starting a drier and warmer weather pattern. Have to remember to bring my can of Raid when I go out into the yard.

  2. I wish there was moisture on the web. It’s easier to see. Bet it was pretty, too. Love the leaf. Our weather has been awesome. Cloudless blue sky yesterday. Have a good weekend,

      • We are always hopeful! Today the sun has peaked through the low clouds and I’m hoping it continues all day. Until December, we can have a few partly sunny days. After that we’re lucky to see the sun until about April. 😦

        • If it makes you feel any better (and I know it won’t), Paris is like that. My youngest stepson did his first year of college at American University there, and by mid-February was so sick grey skies and rain that he wanted to come home!
Then, April happened….there’s a reason the song is called ‘April in Paris’! πŸ˜‰

  3. We actually have had dry weather here in HK but just can’t see the sun on most days. You don’t need to comment on that as I have just decided to look at your gorgeous blue skies instead. Love you fall pictures and sunny days.

    • It will get here, but we don’t usually start worrying about too much cold until mid-November…
I’m waiting for the neighbors to start carving their pumpkins, so I can get some photos of Halloween decorations. Some people go to ridiculous extremes around here.
You’re going to laugh when you see them! πŸ˜€
