The turkey is in the brine. The desserts, waiting in the pantry. The side dishes have been prepped, and the rolls are cooling on the rack.

The house is silent, giving me a few precious minutes to say a heartfelt Thank You, to each and every one of you…

And wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, wherever you are.

  1. Oohh you guys have two ‘Christmasses’. I don’t know that my waistline could handle it! šŸ™‚ Happy ThanksGiving to you and your family. Thank you for your wonderful blog. Laura

    • Turkey can be pretty bland by itself. Soaking it in a salt water solution for a few hours/over night helps get the flavor all the way to the bone, and adds moisture to the meat. Makes a world of difference!
It was a good day, but I’m ready to get back to normal. šŸ™‚
