The First and the Last

November 4, 2012 4 pm

Happy First of December, everyone!

For this weeks View Club Round Up, I thought we’d do a comparison. The first photo is from the beginning of November – the 4th, because the sky was clear that day.

November 29 2012 4 pm

This is the 29th.

How quickly the light goes!

The View Club:

Celi, The Kitchen’s Gardens (who is getting ready to take off for New Zealand for a month!)

Cathy, Words and Herbs

Claire, Promenade Plantings

Linda, Life on a Colorado Farm

And, welcoming this week, Janine, of The Letter J, The Number 9

Any one can play if they’d like. Just take a photo  on a semi-regular basis, of a place you see often, and post it to your blog. Drop me a note in the comments, and we’ll add you to the list! We’ll watch as the seasons change, all around the world!

If I missed anyone, please let me know.

  1. Oh wow, good for you taking the helm and sharing the whole Club! Awesome, though as you say i am off on a sabbatical for three weeks, I will have to watch yours for the changes.. love love c

  2. I find myself going back and forth between the two pictures, examining every tree and shrub. Lots of changes for just one short month! I still can’t believe your pumpkins and gourds remain fresh.

    • Well, when you think about it, the tradition of decorating with piles of winter squash grew out of the method of curing them for storage – cut, and leave out until a hard freeze threatens, and they’ll last all winter, long as the skin isn’t damaged.
      Jack o’lanterns don’t fare so well… 🙂

  3. I do appreciate your putting the photos together. I wanted to see them that way but could not figure out how to do it. I spend part of the morning visiting the other members of the club!!
