The Bunny Was Here!

Easter Finery

The Grandkids were all dressed up for their Big Hunt by 7:30 Sunday Morning. “Look!” Niko shouted, “I’m Grandad!”

Grandad always wears a tie.

“Look!” Angel shouted, “I’m Wonder Woman!”

The Bunny brought the cape and mask. Have no fear – the Boy has a set, too..

Wonder Woman hunts for Easter Eggs

It was a sunny morning, but breezy and chilly. We made them wait until it reached 50 degrees to start.

See the orange egg in the bushes?

in the garden

Some were easier to find than others.

More Candy?

All had to be checked for candy as soon as they were found.

Where?

Others required multiple hints to be located.

“Look down low.”

“Down here?”

(Note the green eggs tucked into the evergreen bushes behind the kids)

Thought they’d never find those!

Done!

To make it a little easier, the Bunny left us a note. He said that there were eight eggs for each kid. The eggs would have their first initial on them, and they’d be hidden in pairs, near each other. No pushing, no running, and everyone got the same amount.

Worked like a charm.

The Other Present

The Bunny also gifted them with a small outdoor table and chairs – perfect for a Post-Hunt Candy Picnic!

That's ALL?

Hope your Easter was as much fun as ours!

  1. Chilly, maybe, but sunny and snow-free!
Those are great rules. Teamwork and equality begin at home. Even when the team consists of Grampy and Zorro — oops — Wonder Woman.
Good to see you back in the blogosphere, by the way.

  2. I had a great Easter, Marie, but it pales when compared to hunting Easter eggs while in costume. How cute they looked and how nice that the weather cooperated. Glad your holiday was such a happy one.

  3. Don’t believe anyone had quite as good an Easter as those two oh so smart ones: My: hat and tie for Niko and such a happy outfit for Angel!! And their own little table and chairs must have been a wonderful extra surprise!!

  4. I love the costumes! Wish I would have known about the Easter bunny who puts initials on the eggs sooner, there’s a lot more pushing and shoving and running and arguing over eggs here…. and then the eggs all had to be hidden four more times until we could call it a day! Fun though πŸ™‚

    • The Bunny had to figure out a way to keep the Girl With The Broken Collar-Bone from running and smashing into her cousin…but it’s a tradition that might have to be continued πŸ™‚
      Glad your Easter was good!
